Phoenix Rising with Coco Ribbon

It’s a small, yet stunning injection of colour and sumptuousness that we do each season…

The Way It Was Blouse in Eden Print

Coco Ribbon hails out of London, finding its feet as a stunning boutique in Notting Hill. Yet its Australian born director, Alison Barton Chow, has lived across the globe. She created Coco Ribbon as a testimony to the Bohemian decadence, for those of us who love to create our style just a little left of centre.

Coco Ribbon’s Notting Hill Boutique

Each season features several unique prints that have in the past, found inspiration in feathers, coral reefs, and the harmony of birdsong. We focus on at least five main pieces from the collection, and this Spring/Summer has brought a rainbow of beauty into the store!

With all pieces made from 100% Sandwashed Silk, you know quality when you see it (or slip it on!) Alison’s creations are simply wondrous, with this season concentrating on the phenomenal vibrancy that comes with combining hues of magenta, vermillion and fuchsia to create homage to the vibrancy of the Phoenix.

Also available is the sweet yet sexy Eden print, a mixture of floral beauty set back against the innocence of white. Look hard enough and you’ll even find Eve’s apple hidden in the design!

Yes ladies, it’s a definite love affair with Coco Ribbon. Come and see for yourself! And if you are afraid to bring that spark of colour into your wardrobe, see the team at Olive Woman for a consultation. Sarah and Paul’s innovative use of colour work well with the beauty of Coco Ribbon.

Introducing Olive Woman

In July, Olive Home packed up her finest things – her designer clothes and precious accessories, her Italian home wares, and her most prized trinkets, and travelled two stores up Given Terrace. She dived in to paint samples and set about creating Olive Woman, a fresh new space for the stylish woman to come and visit, and shop to her heart’s content.

Taking pride of place next to Montrachet, Olive Woman is now the new Home for our favourite Australian designers (and some extra special international friends also!) We’re talking about the beautiful Ginger & Smart and Collette By Collette Dinnigan taking pride of place on one wall, mirrored by Fleur Wood and Suboo on the other. Splashes of vibrancy welcome you as your enter, courtesy of the newest creations available from these stunning designers.

The American powerhouses of colour, Tolani and DL1969 (yes, those jeans that everybody is talking about) compliment these innovative Australian designers perfectly, and create a flow of spectral vibrancy through the middle of the store.

Olive Woman is the long time dream of Paul Alcock, one of the directors of Olive Home. His desire to create a store that changes with the seasons, to go that extra mile in bringing the best in fashion design to Paddington, has been realised and the boys could not be happier!

A beautiful store for a beautiful locale – come and visit us soon!

We are pleased to bring you Cire Trudon – quite possibly the most luxuriously scented candles in the world.

Olive Woman is open 10am – 5pm Monday to Saturday. Phone (07) 3367 3743
